The following questions are designed to help you in deciding if a virusproof computer is suitable for you. The questions are constantly being updated as common questions are added or removed from our site.
WHEN MY VIRUSPROOF COMPUTER ARRIVES, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO MAKE IT WORK?
- When your computer first arrives at your home or business, you unpack it, plug it into your modem or router and start enjoying a virusproof environment. Your new computer is totally prepared for you, there is nothing you need to do.
WILL MY NEW VIRUSPROO COMPUTER WORK WITH WIRELESS?
- All VirusProof laptop computers have inbuilt wireless setup ready to go. You will need to connect to your wireless connection using your preferred incription. You will need to use your known password to connect. VirusProof computer towers will need to have a wireless card installed to go wireless. Please ask to purchase at the time of your purchase.
WHAT IF IN 3 YEARS TIME SOMEONE DEVELOPS A VIRUS FOR THE VIRUSPROOF COMPUTER?
- Currently all VirusProof computers come with a 5 year warranty on virus contamination. This means that if, within the first five years of ownership, your VP computer develops a virus, we will re-instate, for free, your computer to exactly as it was when you first received the computer. All users are required to arrange delivery and pickup from our Sydney factory.
CAN I HAVE MY CURRENT COMPUTER CONVERTED TO A VIRUSPROOF COMPUTER?
- Conversions can take up to 7 hours to convert and do not always successfully perform as a true VirusProof computers. The time taken for conversion is expensive and because we cannot always guarantee a perfect outcome, we are currently not performing conversions. This may change in the future.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE WINDOWS XP ON ZONE 2?
- The Windows XP version of the VirusProof computer is our current preferred operating system. However, if you would prefer Windows Vista or Windows 7, please advise when ordering.
- For a small fee, we are able to prepare VirusProof computers with either Windows Vista or Windows 7 area of your new computer.
ARE THERE ANY HARDWARE RESTRICTIONS TO THE VIRUSPROOF COMPUTER?
- There are currently 73 printers that work happily with the VirusProof computer. We advise you check before you purchase your VirusProof computer. If not on the known list, it is often possible for us to configure your new computer before it leaves our factory.
