Watch out for fake virus alerts
Rogue security software, also known as "scareware," is software that appears to be good but actually is often misleading and / or false software that suggests your web site is infected. Typically what appears to be a genuine scan of your computer (but is actually a video, that all Users get to see), suggests you should run their software. You receive a report and when you attempt to remove your (sic) infections, you must pay. Even if you pay, the money goes out, but the spyware remains and could even require a total re-installation of Windows.
